Sam Lyon is a communications strategist and former journalist with over a decade’s experience advising governments and business leaders at the highest levels.
He has extensive experience in devising and implementing communications strategies, campaigns and crisis management both in the UK and abroad.
Drawing on his vast experience as a journalist and Fleet Street news editor he advises clients on strategic and crisis communications, messaging and day-to-day media handling.
Sam joined C|T|F Partners as senior director in 2012. He joined from City Hall where he was Director of Communications and official spokesman to the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. He managed all the Mayor's external affairs during the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. Previous to this he was Media Director, spokesman and senior advisor to Boris Johnson during his successful 2012 Mayoral campaign.
He provides senior counsel, strategic communications advice, media training and writes opinion pieces and speeches for cabinet-level politicians and business leaders, both in the UK and internationally.
